Increase manufacturing speeds
FLUDICON's intelligent Smart PID Systems make it possible to significantly increase manufacturing speeds with machine tools with the same precision and optimal cost/benefit ratios. This is achieved by the interaction between the systems and the components of the Smart PID System. These are adaptive attenuators, amplifiers with integrated controllers and sensors.
Electrorheological fluids (ERF) change their flow characteristics and therefore resistance in the attenuation systems developed by FLUDICON.

One of the regular tasks of a machine tool is to control the movement of a tool or workpiece in a precise way. In order to achieve high manufacturing speed while retaining the required precision, most deploy oil brakes or electro-dynamic drives which are based on CNC technology. The clear cost-savings come from the combination of pneumatic drives and a Smart PID System from FLUDICON. The additional benefits come from being able to adjust the braking forces within a wide range within milliseconds by applying a control voltage . Movement processes with a precision of 0.1 mm can be influenced in a targeted fashion in this way. Integrating these systems into existing equipment or in new developments is possible with little effort.
