Position, accelerate and brake
In many areas of industry, machine parts or production goods must be positioned, accelerated or braked with high movement and precision. With FLUDICON Smart PID Systems, adjustment of attenuation for each operating condition can be sensor-controlled and thereby automated, or simply by the setting of a potentiometer - without mechanical intervention.
Electrorheological fluids (ERF) change their flow characteristics and therefore resistance in the attenuation systems developed by FLUDICON.

Pneumatically-driven actuators, such as pneumatic cylinders, can be positioned in conjunction with RheDamp with a precision of 0.1 mm. The potential applications for this combination are numerous. They range from simple controlled positioning, with control via a PLC, to independent position or speed control adjustment processes. Typical applications are all areas where pneumatics are given preference over expensive CNC solutions.
