FLUDICON is a high-tech company with an innovative technology: electro-rheology. It is the leading global company which develops and produces its own electrorheological fluid on an industrial scale. FLUDICON develops and produces mechanical and hydraulic components, and also amplifiers, controllers, hardware and software, in order to be able to offer a complete mechanical/electronic system to meet customer-specific needs. The company is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
The foundation for its technological breakthrough can be traced back to the joint research of Carl Schenck AG and Bayer AG, starting in 1995. With the founding of FLUDICON GmbH in Darmstadt, these activities were then combined in 2001 in order to promote the industrialization of electrorheological products. The targeted optimization of fluids and a variety of basic applications with ER technology led in 2007 to the development of standard system components for industrial and automotive applications.
The foundation of ERF Produktion GmbH in Würzburg in 2008 was an important milestone in the growth of the company. With this, FLUDICON completed its capabilities to manufacture its own fluids on an industrial scale. In the meantime, Hennigsdorf in Brandenburg has also become a site for the company; electronics are developed here.
